Now that President Nerger has completed her term, Floor Bleeker has been elected by the Board to steer the direction of HTNG with his recent appointment to President.
Bleeker has served on HTNG's Board of Governors for over nine years and held the Treasurer position since 2015. Bleeker has nearly two decades of international hospitality technology experience and holds a number of board and advisory positions with other organizations.
Commenting on his selection, Bleeker said, "It is an honour and privilege to be appointed President of HTNG. I have worked closely with Monika on the Executive Committee over the last few years and I look forward to continuing her good work, building on her many successes during her time as President."
Nerger will remain an active member on the Board. She also serves as the Strategic Advisor for HTNG's Security initiatives. As her term limit was approaching, she said, "It has been nothing short of an immense honor to serve as the President of HTNG. Our association continues to see global growth and a strong commitment by our members to learn from each other, collaborate and create solutions for our industry in a world of increasing technological complexity. I look forward to Floor's leadership and welcome him as the new President of HTNG."
"I'm humbled to have had the opportunity to work diligently with both Monika and Floor over the years," said Michael Blake, CEO of HTNG. "Monika's service as Board President really accelerated our organization to new levels and I am confident Floor will only further the direction of HTNG and the industry."
Brian Garavuso, Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer, Diamond Resorts International, was elected as Treasurer to fill the vacancy created by Bleeker's appointment.
